The recipes of the nuns of Villa La Quiete alle Montalve
“More than notes from hasty cooks, here there is meticulousness, the desire to codify the type of ingredients and procedures, the need for a non-obsessive but calm order, like the one that adjusted the times and life of the Villa. The result is a set of recipes that do not have a clearly identifiable territorial imprint, nor a unique style. They seem rather to be daughters of the culture and origin of those who created and written them, probably modulated on the possibilities of supplying raw materials.” This is one of the first volumes that I illustrated inside the didacommunicationlab.
